Fix Nat Network Issue In Oracle VM VirtualBox

NAT Network (Network Address Translation) is an easy way of accessing an external network(LAN Connection) from a virtual machine.

It does not require any configuration to do on the host network and guest system. So for this reason, it is the default networking mode in Oracle VM VirtualBox.

There are different types of network modes in VirtualBox, like NAT, NAT network, Bridged networking, Internal networking, Host-only networking, and Generic networking.

A NAT network issue is a common issue everyone will face while using VM VirtualBox for the first time.

The issue will be like NATnetwork Name shows Not Selected.

Nat Network Issue

For fixing this issue follow the below steps.

First Open VM VirtualBox.

Then click on File from the top menu list and select the Preferences.. option.

Now select the Network option from the left side list.

Then click on the green + symbol on the right side.

NatNetwork will be created automatically on the Network list.

Once you see that NatNetwork is present on the list, then click ok.

Now select your Operating System(Kali Linux/ Windows 10 etc..) on the left side of VirtualBox.

Then click on the Settings option.

Then go to the Network option.

Select the Enable Network Adapter check box.

Then Select NAT Network from the dropdown list of Attached to.

NatNetwork will automatically display under the Name section.

Click ok.

Now if you connect to Kali Linux/Windows, you can see the Network connection.
